Description

Uptown consists of pocket neighborhoods including Buena Park, Sheridan Park and Clarendon Park and is located north of Lakeview and south of Edgewater.  Once an elite playground for the wealthy, back in the turn of the 20th century, Uptown residents would spend their weekends at their beautiful mansions by the lake and enjoy the ritzy shops, fine dining and unsurpassed entertainment venues.  Today, Uptown is much more affordable and consists primarily of renovated and new single-family homes, vintage and modern 2-3 flats and high-rise buildings along Lake Shore Drive with breathtaking views of the city and lake.

Recreation abounds in Uptown, with its close proximity to Lake Michigan and Lincoln Park.  Residents enjoy beautiful parks, biking, volleyball, boating or just strolling on the many beaches.  Uptown boasts popular entertainment venues, the Aragon Ballroom, the Riviera Nightclub and the Green Mill.  Uptown also has many eclectic boutiques, bookstores, coffee houses and restaurants.
