Description

Rightfully named Lakeview for its location next to the lake, Lakeview is one of the oldest and largest neighborhoods in Chicago.  It is located north of Lincoln Park and south of Uptown.  Housing ranges from high-rises with spectacular views of the city and lake, to Victorian greystones, to vintage 2-6 flats, to loft and storefront conversions as well as single-family homes.

Lakeview consists of several different neighborhoods, Wrigleyville, Belmont Harbor, East Lakeview, Graceland West, Lakeview Central, New Town, Roscoe Village, Southeast Ravenswood, and West Lakeview.  Recreation abounds in Lakeview with its vast amount of eclectic shops, a wide variety of restaurants, lively bars and theater.  Wrigley Field is home to the world famous Chicago Cubs. 

Lakeview has areas much like the Gold Coast and Streeterville but offers more affordable housing.  Commuting from Lakeview to the Loop is very convenient, with easy access to Lake Shore Drive and the many options for public transportation.
